The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra is grateful for donors like the Seibels family who join us in envisioning a better Symphony through technology. With this vested interest, we are able to offer a new 2015 version of the MSO website, designed to engage the community in our concerts and education programs and also connect Symphony supporters with our mission. Executive Director Kim Wolfe would particularly like to recognize the enthusiasm and support of Mr. Robert Seibels. Through his encouraging attitude we are now able to tackle a much needed facet of furthering the MSO's mission.
The Seibels family have been long-time supporters and contributors to the music world in Montgomery. Fanny Marks Seibels book, "Wishes Are Horses", documents her lifelong journey pursuing her love of music in Montgomery and through other travels. This remarkable woman has touched many musicians’ lives around the state of Alabama and beyond. To this very day, we have students of Fanny Marks Seibels that are affiliated with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra as members and leaders. The picture shown on the website is of Mrs. Fanny Marks Seibels with a group of her young musical students. The website also honors Mrs. Ruth Virginia Seibels who also appreciated and loved the arts. It is with great pleasure and excitement that we thank the entire Seibels family for their support of the Montgomery Symphony's website. We also honor the musical legacy of the Seibels family.
