Cello Fellow Dan Totan bids farewell to Montgomery's musical community with a program of favorites on Thursday, May 20th. Pianist Patil Harboyan will join Mr. Totan on the 7:30 pm concert at the Montgomery Museum. Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students and can be reserved by contacting the Symphony at 240-4004 or montgomerysymphony@gmail.com


5/28/2010  |  Free Jubilee Pops Concert
Join the MSO for a free outdoors "All Things Italian" concert on Friday, May 28th, to kick off the Jubilee Weekend. The 7:00 pm program will offer Italian favorites ranging from Puccini to Mancini in celebration of Montgomery’s Sister City, Pietrasanta, Italy. The free outdoor concert will be presented on the steps of the Alabama Archives and History Building in downtown Montgomery. Italian operatic soprano Mimma Briganti will be the featured guest artist in four of Puccini’s best loved arias. Medleys by Italian-American greats Frank Sinatra, Connie Frances and Henry Mancini, plus other Italian favorites, will add to the flavor of the night. Come early and bring your friends and family. Picnic baskets, coolers, lawn chairs, and blankets are all welcome at this free concert. In the event of rain, the concert will be held on Saturday night, May 29th, at 7:00 pm in the same location. The concert is generously sponsored by the J K Lowder Family Foundation with special assistance from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
