May 28, 2010 at 7:00 pm: Free Jubilee Pops
Concert
Alabama Archives and History Building Lawn
The Montgomery Symphony will
perform a free “All Things Italian” concert on Friday, May
28th, to kick off the Jubilee weekend.
The 7:00 pm program will offer Italian favorites
ranging from Puccini to Mancini in celebration of Montgomery’s Sister
City, Pietrasanta, Italy.
The free outdoor concert will be presented on the
steps of the Alabama Archives and
History
Building in downtown Montgomery.
Italian operatic soprano Mimma Briganti will be the featured
guest artist in four of Puccini’s best loved arias.
Medleys by Italian-American greats Frank Sinatra,
Connie Frances and Henry Mancini, plus other Italian
favorites, will add to the flavor of the night.
Come early and bring your friends and family.
Picnic baskets, coolers, lawn chairs, and blankets
are all welcome at this free concert.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held on
Saturday night, May 29th, at 7:00 pm in the same
location.

Foundation with special assistance from the Alabama State
Council on the Arts.

The Stars Pops Concert
Lakeside at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival
The Montgomery Symphony will present its 24th annual
Broadway Under The Stars Pops Concert on Thursday, September
16, 2010 at 7:30 pm. Picnic baskets and coolers are
welcome at this free concert of Broadway showtunes performed
lakeside at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Come
early and bring your lawn chairs and blankets for this
family-friendly event. The concert is generously
sponsored by Regions Bank.
December 14, 2009 at 7:30 pm: Holiday Pops
Concert
Join the MSO for an evening of everyone's seasonal favorites
on Monday, December 14th, at 7:30 pm when the MSO presents
its annual Holiday Pops Concert.
Maestro Thomas Hinds and the MSO will perform a wide variety
of "holiday classics" with music from both the popular and
classical repertoires.
