Maestro Thomas Hinds and the MSO will launch The Maestro's
Season with a pair of concertos when new Violin Fellow
Sun-Young Gemma Shn and Cello Fellow Katerina Juraskova step to
center stage. Second-year fellow Juraskova will perform
Dvorak's b-minor Cello Concerto while Ms. Shin will present
the Bruch Violin Concerto in g minor. Glinka's Russlan and
Ludmilla Overture will open the concert.

The dazzling talent of pianist Yakov Kasman will be
showcased in this concert when the Van Clilburn Silver
Medalist joins the MSO for Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.
2. This exciting concert will also include selections from
Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet Suite #2 and Tchaikovsky's
Romeo and Juliet.

Take your pick of two festive performances as the MSO
celebrates the holiday season. MSO will present a stocking
full of seasonal favorites and guest artists on its annual
pair of Holiday Pops performances. Ask about the hands-on
musical activities for children before the concert.

Brahms Symphony No. 2 will anchor this enjoyable
program that will also include an arrangement of Handel's
famed Water Music. MSO musician Dale Bloodworth will be the
featured soloist in Vaughan-Williams' Tuba Concerto.

Hear the glorious melodies of Dvorak's New World Symphony
and 12-year-old violinist Anna Lee, winner of the 2008 Blount-Slawson Young Artists
Competition, perform Paganini's Concerto No. 1 as The Maestro's Season concludes.
