4/29/2008  |  Canadian cellist named MSO Cello Fellow for 2008-2010 Dan Totan, a cellist from McGill University in Montreal, was named as the MSO's Cello Fellow for 2008-2010. The award winner was named following an evening of music presented by the competition's five finalists at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.

5/11/2008  |  Youth Orchestra to perform Mother's Day concert Maestra Yvonne Collins will lead the 80-member Montgomery Youth Orchestra in its annual Mother's Day concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11 at the Davis Theatre. The concert is free to the public.

5/13/2008  |  Fellowship Series Continues Violin Fellow Sun-Young Gemma Shin and pianist Vadim Serebryany will join forces on Tuesday, May 13th, as the Fellowship Series continues. The 7:30 pm program will feature music by Mozart, Beethoven, Saint Saens, and Kreisler.

5/23/2008  |  Jubilee Pops Concert set for Friday, May 23 Hear your favorite movie music when the MSO plays its annual Jubilee Concert on the lawn of the Alabama Capitol at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held on the capitol's flag-lined plaza due to landscape work now underway at the Alabama Archives and History building, the usual site for the concert.
