The Montgomery Chorale

Montgomery Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to welcome The Montgomery Chorale back to Joyce Caddell Holiday Pops!

Now in its 52nd season, the Montgomery Chorale, one of the oldest arts organizations in the city, was designated Montgomery’s official choral group by Mayor Emory Folmar and has offered professional quality performances encompassing many musical styles including classical, Broadway, jazz and pop. Montgomery’s rich architectural settings have provided wonderful venues for performances including more than ten different churches, the State Supreme Court building, the Wilson Auditorium at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), the Montgomery Zoo and others. The Chorale highly values collaboration with other arts organizations and has worked with the Montgomery Symphony, Capitol Sounds, MMFA, Alabama Dance Theatre, Montgomery Ballet and numerous others through the years. The Chorale membership is diverse, including working and retired community professionals and military, educators, homemakers, and several professional musicians. Members travel from as far as Prattville, Wetumpka, Ramer, Lowndesboro, Auburn, and Sylacauga to participate. Under the direction of Dr. James Seay, Artistic Director and Conductor, the Chorale’s dedication to presenting professional quality choral performances have helped produce a musically compatible blend of voices at ease with any musical composition from Beethoven to Berlin. Dr. Seay and the Montgomery Chorale are excited to the join the Montgomery Symphony once again to present a wonderful night of holiday hits, both new and old, sure to put audience members in the Holiday Spirit!
