The Firebird

The Masterworks II concert on October 28 will close with Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. The Firebird in folklore is a magical, glowing bird whose feathers emit light, often symbolizing a difficult quest, and is known for bringing both good fortune and challenges to those who seek it.

This week, Maestro Jamie Reeves has been sharing the Firebird’s enchanting tale with children all around Montgomery, including a stop this morning at Montessori School at Hampstead, where students enjoyed the story and some lively musical demos by members of the MSO. The adventure continues this Saturday, October 26, at Juliette Hampton Morgan Memorial Library in downtown Montgomery. All children are welcome to join the fun!
